More Licensees Sign Up for ZingZillas

CANNES: BBC Worldwide has had eight new licensees come onboard for the CBeebies commission ZingZillas, for which Vivid Imaginations is the master toy licensee.

Martin Yaffe is to produce a range of wheeled toys for the brand. The company’s managing director, Ronnie Yaffe, commented: "We are thrilled to have been appointed this licence for ZingZillas which is a hugely exciting new property in the preschool licensing world.”

Character World is going to produce ZingZillas bedding ranges, and DNC will provide a range of lunchware and melamine items. Samuel Eden is developing socks. Trademark Collections has been granted a licence to manufacture a range of children’s bags and umbrellas. Seasonal confectionary will be produced by Bon Bon Buddies. Danilo is providing greetings cards and gift-wrap lines for the brand. Worlds Apart has been secured to make a range of furniture based on the series.

Richard Hollis, the head of U.K. licensing for BBC Worldwide children’s and licensing, said: “We are confident that ZingZillas is the next big thing in pre-school entertainment, and the unprecedented response we’ve had to the brand confirms the industry support for this.”
