Monster Scores New Sales at MIPTV

DUBLIN, April 25: Last week at MIPTV, Monster Distributes
concluded deals for its animated series with Innoform Media in Asia and
Universal Music Canada.

Monster licensed the 13×30-minute Hermie and Friends and the 52×2-minute preschool series I’m an
Animal
to Innoform Media for Singapore and
Hong Kong. Monster has also notched up a deal with Universal Music Canada for
the 39×7-minute animated series Slim Pig, which was commissioned by CBC Canada and is currently performing well
on the network. Recently, the series outperformed all other children’s programs
airing in the same 10:15 a.m. weekday timeslot. The first series of 13 episodes
has already aired in the U.K. and Scandinavia on CITV, Cartoon Network, SVT and
TV2 and in 35 other territories worldwide. Produced by the kids’ production
company Cheeky, Slim Pig features
a two-dimensional pig living in a three-dimensional world who manages to find
adventure wherever he goes.

In addition to securing sales of its animated series,
Monster also launched Bienvenue au Cannes
at MIPDOC. The documentary has recently been sold to RTVE in Spain. The
feature-length documentary celebrates the 60th anniversary of the
Cannes Film Festival in May, hosting a diverse array of talent that includes
Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese, Sharon Stone, Gena Rowlands, Robin Williams,
Ron Howard, Harvey Weinstein, Dino De Laurentiis, Oliver Stone, Brian Grazer,
Bai Ling, Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny and Samuel L. Jackson.
