FremantleMedia Names Regional CEO

LONDON, September 2:
FremantleMedia has appointed Simon Spalding as regional CEO, responsible for
all European territories, excluding the U.K. and Germany, and for Asia Pacific,
while Doug Gluck will step down from his role as CEO of Europe, Australasia and
Latin America.

Upped from his role as
director of operations for the Asia Pacific region, Spalding has overseen the
merging of the Australian production companies Grundy Australia and Crackerjack
into FremantleMedia Australia, as well as the landmark deal recently secured
with Japanese production company TV Man Union.

Tony Cohen,
the CEO of FremantleMedia, said: “Simon has built Asia Pacific into an
exceptional business, one with a great management team and great potential.
Simon is helping us expand into a number of new markets and will continue to
play a vital role in pushing that forward. However we are also intensifying our
focus on Europe at a time of increasing opportunity. Simon will relocate to
Europe to take this business on. At the same time I would like to thank Doug
Gluck for his significant contribution to the company over the years, for helping
to build up FremantleMedia’s global network.”
