Mister Otter Joins TV-Loonland Lineup

MUNICH/LONDON: TV-Loonland will be handling the worldwide distribution across all media for Mister Otter, based on a concept by author Marguerite Sauvage.

Produced by La Station Animation in co-production with France 3 and TV-Loonland, the series is animated in 3-D but has a 2-D look. Mister Otter is directed by Ahmidou Lyazidi and is slated for full delivery in April. Each short-form episode explores a different historical theme or question, presented by Mister Otter, a globe-trotting, time-traveling otter.

Olivier Dumont, the managing director of TV-Loonland, said: "We believe that Mister Otter will be the perfect compliment to our lineup and most importantly that of our clients! Those bite-sized and highly entertaining cultural curiosities are a delightful way to learn and judging solely by the enthusiastic response the show received at Cartoon Forum in fall 2008, we think the show will follow the success of our most recent brands such as The Owl, Little Princess and Pat & Stan."

Mayumi Pavy, the production executive at La Station Animation, added: "From the moment we first encountered Mister Otter, we were smitten with these two little fellows. We then knew we could not rest until they found their way onto television. Our own managing director, Pierre Coré, took the lead in bringing Mister Otter to animated life. We were more than honoured when TV-Loonland offered us to include our little duo in their prestigious lineup of programming. Ever since, it has been a pleasure to work with such an inspiring, professional and cheerful team in making sure that Mister Otter does indeed become a ‘TV-globetrotter.’"
