Miss Universe to Air on Hallmark Channel in Asia

SINGAPORE, July 2:
Hallmark Channel will serve as the exclusive cable and satellite broadcaster of
the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant in Asia, with a live telecast set for July 14 at
9 a.m. (Singapore time) and an encore at 8 p.m.

The Miss Universe Pageant
is the most widely watched pageant on television. NBC has been the official
U.S. broadcaster for the event since 2002 and recently renewed its agreement
for another three years.

Karen Johnston, the
director of programming at NBC Universal Global Networks Asia Pacific, said:
“Broadcasting Miss Universe live exclusively on Hallmark is a milestone for us.
We are thrilled with the opportunity to work with a globally acclaimed brand
like Miss Universe for Hallmark’s first live telecast event. Miss Universe has
a long-standing relationship with NBC in the U.S. and we are pleased to extend
this tradition into Asia Pacific through Hallmark Channel.”
