SANTA MONICA: Miramax is opening its first international post, with offices in London, promoting Joe Patrick to lead worldwide sales and hiring Danny Goldman, former CEO of Power Television, as the senior VP and head of sales for Europe.

Patrick, who’s been serving as the senior VP of domestic TV and digital sales, will continue to report to Mike Lang, the CEO of Miramax, and will work closely with Beth Minehart, the senior VP of global digital. Goldman will report to Patrick and will be based in the new London office.

Prior to joining Miramax, Patrick was the executive VP at MGM Worldwide Television Group. Goldman was previously the CEO of Power Television and before that spent ten years at Sony Pictures Television as senior VP of sales.

“We are very pleased to have Joe take on a broader role, as his relationships and experience have proven extremely valuable. We are fortunate to have him on our team and look forward to his continued success in this new, expanded role,” said Lang. “Danny brings tremendous experience and strong relationships, and we are thrilled that he will lead our London office day-to-day. He is a creative, seasoned sales executive who has negotiated many licensing agreements and output deals with TV and digital clients throughout Europe.”

Lang continued, "Opening the London office as our European hub is an important step in our company’s evolution and we are thrilled to have a presence on the ground."

The London office will be opening in late September.
