PARIS: Eleven finalists have been selected for the CC Ventures competition at MIPTV, where they will pitch their projects to an expert jury during the Connected Creativity event.

The new startup competition targets innovation in connected entertainment. The CC Ventures finalists, selected by an international committee, are Camup (U.S.), Cognik (France), Fair Play Interactive (France), Futurecode (Finland), Hit Me Baby (U.K.), Hitlantis (Finland), Invideous (U.K.), Jakaa (France), Lorenzi TV (France), Mediabong (France) and Stupeflix (France).

The selected companies will make their pitches on April 6 to an industry panel. The winners will be announced during the CC Ventures awards at the Connected Party. Connected Creativity, which runs from April 4 to 7, is a new global forum aimed at innovators in entertainment, mobile media and technology.

"The first edition of CC Ventures is extremely encouraging," said Laurine Garaude, the director of the television division at Reed MIDEM. "We are very excited about highlighting some of the most innovative startups in digital entertainment. It gives us great satisfaction to provide these new players with unique access to some of the major media investors and venture capitalists."
