MIPCOM Slates Formats Superpanel

NEW YORK: Anna Carugati, the group editorial director of World Screen, will be moderating the Formats Superpanel on Monday, October 4, at MIPCOM.

Formats Superpanel: Formulas for Success will feature an impressive list of distinguished speakers: Tom Toumazis, the chief commercial officer at Endemol Group; Rob Clark, the president of worldwide entertainment at FremantleMedia; François de Brugada, the executive VP of creative at Banijay Entertainment; Michael Davies, the president and CEO of Embassy Row; and Alex Mahon, the president of Shine Group.

The discussion will focus on what’s behind some of the biggest hit formats and how these executives identify appealing ideas that travel, whatever the genre—game show, light entertainment, talent competition or competitions of other sorts—and find cost-effective techniques to produces them in multiple territories.

The Formats Superpanel will take place on Monday, October 4, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Esterel auditorium on level 5 of the Palais des Festivals.
