LONDON: NBC Universal International has signed a deal through its format division for the Australian production of Minute To Win It for Seven Network.

The series, signed for an eight-episode run, will be produced by Shine Australia. It will be hosted by Derren McMullen and is slated to launch June 22 in a 7:30 p.m. time slot on Seven. The show features a variety of deceptively simple games that contestants must complete while facing extreme pressure. The show has aired on NBC, which increased its episode order to 39.

Yvonne Pilkington, the VP of international formats for NBC Universal International, commented, “We are delighted that Seven Network have chosen to get behind Minute To Win It. They have a track record of picking hits and we anticipate that their success will continue Down Under.”

Brad Lyons, the head of production at Channel Seven, said, "We just love that the show is so fresh and different and that’s what we look for in a format. We’re sure the concept of these deceptively simple games played for huge sums of money will appeal to our audience."
