MGM Adds to Asia-Pacific Team

LOS ANGELES: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Studios’ worldwide television operation has named Ian Hogg as senior VP and managing director for the Asia-Pacific territory.

Based in Sydney, Hogg will oversee the distribution of MGM film and television properties on a variety of platforms, including pay, basic and free TV, as well as digital media for the region. He will also work closely with Gary Marenzi, the co-president of worldwide television at MGM, on co-production and business-development initiatives.

Hogg joins MGM after seven years of living in Singapore, where he was founder and chief executive of Theatre Red. More recently, Hogg has been consulting for Australia’s Prime Media.

"We are pleased to welcome Ian to our worldwide TV group," said Marenzi. "With his tremendous background and track record in the region, Ian will make a great addition to our team as we continue to expand our global television business."
