Mexico 22 Rebrands as Canal 22 Internacional

MEXICO CITY: The U.S. Spanish-language cable network Mexico 22 has been rebranded as Canal 22 Internacional, going along with its improved programming and new interactive website and social networking features.

The channel airs a range of Mexican and Latin American documentaries, shows and films, as well as live broadcasts from major festivals such as the Guelaguetza. Canal 22 Internacional will also feature coverage of Mexico’s bicentennial celebrations. Canal 22’s new bilingual website features color-coding to identify up-to-the-minute schedules for viewers, programming synopses and recommendations. The site also offers a community and blog section, as well as links to the channel’s profiles in several social networking sites. Canal 22 has also launched a section called Mi México 22, which allows users to personalize their experience and also have access to news feeds from Noticias 22- Agencia de Información Cultural, a news agency exclusively devoted to cultural information.
