Mexican Grey’s Anatomy Under Way

MEXICO CITY: Disney Media Networks Latin America and TV Azteca are co-producing a Mexican version of ABC Studios’ Grey’s Anatomy.

Vista Productions is producing A corazón abierto for TV Azteca. It is building a hospital set over 1,600 square meters to shoot the show. The series will be directed by Raúl Quintanilla and will air on Azteca 7 in prime-time.

“We’re delighted that Azteca 7 is on board for Disney Media Networks Latin America’s most successful project to date,” said Fernando Barbosa, the senior VP of distribution and production at Disney Media Networks Latin America. “This will be a new and fresh production for Azteca 7 audiences.”
