Metronome Film & Television Hires Westman

STOCKHOLM,
June 9: As part of an effort to ramp up its format development, Metronome Film
& Television has named Johan Westman, previously with Sweden’s Channel 5
and Channel 9, as its development manager, effective September 1.

In
his new role, Westman will be responsible for Metronome's Creative Exchange
group, which coordinates Metronome Group development and brings together
producers and developers. Westman has worked in television for more than 17
years. Most recently, he was program manager at Sweden’s Channel 5 and Channel
9.

Metronome
Film & Television has rolled out formats such as Clash of the Choirs, which aired on TV4 last spring and was sold to
NBC, as well as Single Moms,
which sold into ten countries. In the early spring, FremantleMedia bought Family
Links
, a Metronome-developed game
show.

“We're
delighted that Johan is joining us," said Michael Porseryd, the COO of
Metronome. "It's strategically vital to develop an outstanding, extensive,
international-class range of formats. We believe that Johan has a lot to offer
in this area."
