MercuryMedia Picks Up Election-Based Doc

LONDON, February 5:
MercuryMedia has acquired the hour-long documentary How Ohio Pulled it Off, produced by Ohio Filmmakers, which examines the
2004 U.S. Presidential elections.

The film exposes the
disenfranchisement of black voters by the state election board and the
inconsistencies in the electronic-voting system employed by the state of Ohio
during the 2004 elections.

Mercury’s head of
acquisitions, Jason McGeown, said: “The relevancy of this film cannot be
underestimated. It looks like the Bush administration manufactured not one
result, but two. As the film states, this can and probably will happen again.”
