LONDON: Mentorn International is launching a new comedy distribution arm, which will feature a trio of new shows, including a second season of An Idiot Abroad

Along with An Idiot Abroad 2, there’s Sirens and the new Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant sitcom Life’s Too Short. An Idiot Abroad 2 features Karl Pilkington with Gervais and Merchant in a documentary travelogue. Life’s Too Short is an observational comedy featuring Warwick Davies. Sirens, which recently debuted on Channel 4, follows three young paramedics who explore sex, love, life and friendship.

David Leach, the managing director of Mentorn International, said: “We’re very excited about the launch of our comedy division with three such high profile series, including two very different shows from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

An Idiot Abroad has been a huge hit for us around the world and we’re already pre-selling the second series. And Life’s Too Short has naturally attracted an enormous amount of interest, being the third sitcom in Ricky and Stephen’s trilogy, following The Office and Extras. While Sirens is a wonderful dark comedy drama. Mentorn International is the one-stop shop for the best new comedies at MIP.”
