MediaCorp Names MD for Interactive

SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has appointed Philip Koh as managing director for its interactive media division, effective April 1.

Koh is currently the managing director of MediaCorp Press, which owns and operates the newspaper Today. For both portfolios, Koh will report to Shaun Seow, the deputy CEO for news, radio, print and interactive at MediaCorp. Seow commented: "Philip will bring to Interactive Media a perspective that’s both fresh and experienced. He’s known as the gadgets guy in the office, always pushing the envelope on technology applications. At the same time, he’s also been with MediaCorp for 13 years, covering a range of business lines from publishing to radio. This provides him with the insight into how a large media company like MediaCorp, with assets primarily in broadcasting and publishing, could develop a viable new media business. I look forward to his contributions.”
