SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has sold 141 hours of content to China International TV Corporation (CITV), marking its largest sale ever to a single service in China.

The 141 hours consist of Chinese dramas produced by MediaCorp, including The In-Laws, A Tale of 2 Cities, Devotion, Kampong Ties and A Song to Remember. They are to air on provincial TV stations in China in 2012. MediaCorp also closed deals on IPTV, Internet and mobile rights for these series.

Doreen Neo, the senior VP of the content distribution division at MediaCorp, said, “It is a coup for us to have scored the pre-sale of Kampong Ties and A Song to Remember. CITV bought it based on their faith in our quality, and it speaks of their confidence in our productions. We are excited that our productions are well received in China, and will continue to develop the market.”
