MDA, Korean Broadcasting Institute to Fund HD Titles

SINGAPORE, November 29: The Media Development Authority of
Singapore is teaming with the Korean Broadcasting Institute (KBI) to co-finance
three HDTV co-production projects by Singaporean and Korean producers, it was
announced at the Asia TV Forum today.

The three co-production projects will be available for
international distribution in the third quarter of next year. Text in the

is a lifestyle series from Singapore’s
Sitting in Pictures and Korea’s Digital Plus. It focuses on the lives of four
women in four major Asian cities: Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo. Asian
Youths
, from Upside Down Concepts in
Singapore and Media Special in Korea looks at youth subcultures in the region.
And FestivAsia—Moon Asia is
a documentary from Big Communications (Singapore) and Creo Contents (Korea)
about festivals and cultural events celebrated in Asia.
