LOS ANGELES: At MIPTV, MarVista Entertainment finalized international broadcast sales for the new two-hour TV movie Meteor Storm.

RTL2 of Germany and TV Markiza of Slovakia have now picked up the rights to air Meteor Storm. The movie tells of a passing meteor shower that turns into a deadly storm from space that threatens to destroy the city of San Francisco.

“Given the success of Meteor Storm in the U.S. and the intensity of the plot, we anticipated early interest from our broadcast partners. We are confident that we will continue to secure further deals quite rapidly,” commented Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “International broadcasters have a thirst for high-quality, high-octane television movies, and Meteor Storm undoubtedly delivers on all fronts.”
