MarVista Scores Feature-Film Sales

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has firmed up a number of deals from its feature-film catalogue, with new sales to Latin America, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. 

Globosat in Brazil went for nine TV movies, including Seventeen and Missing, Man Maid and Trouble with Dee Dee. DBS Satellite Services in Israel took the documentary Let Freedom Ring and two TV movies: Nowhere to Hide and Before You Say I Do. In Scandinavia, NonStop Television acquired a raft of ten TV movies, including Enemy Within, Will You Merry Me and Cries In The Dark. Meanwhile, Antena 1 in Romania snapped up a 12-title package that included A Decent Proposal, Behind the Wall and Seventeen and Missing.

“Buyer response to our catalogue at MIPCOM was gratifying and a number of other deals will be closed shortly,” said Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista. “MarVista has achieved a nice momentum as we head into the American Film Market next month.”
