MarVista Lines Up Features & Family Entertainment

LOS ANGELES: Seven new TV movies are among the highlights on MarVista Entertainment’s slate, which also features a collection of animated specials.

MarVista’s lineup of movies includes the epic WWII drama Eva, which is also available as a two-part mini-series; the romantic comedies Tricks of a Woman and Falling Star; the family romance Chatterbox; and the thrillers House Under Siege and Crimes of the Past. In Eva, Eva meets Tudor on her 16th birthday and he becomes the love of her life, but their relationship suffers through his constant mysterious departures and reappearances. Tricks of a Woman explores the contrast between the world of high-fashion modeling and that of the day-to-day routine of a normal New England fishing milieu. Falling Star fuses music and pop culture with a satirical and gentle look into Orthodox Judaism. In Chatterbox, Chelsea wants to win the chatterbox competition to prove to her parents that she is as good as her brother and sister. House Under Siege is centered on a jewelry heist, while Crimes of the Past is an espionage tale.

The company’s new animation slate includes the series Cloud Trotter, the special Bunny Tales and the Perennial Animated Collections of 14 Christmas and Easter specials. Taking Charge, Making Changes is a half-hour health and fitness special hosted by Jillian Michaels, the strength trainer and life coach on the NBC hit America’s Biggest Loser.

“The quality and range of our MIPCOM offerings continue to cement MarVista’s reputation as a trusted producer and distributor of programming spanning all genres,” commented Fernando Szew, the founding partner and CEO of MarVista Entertainment. “With competition for viewers at an all time high we’re proud to offer our global customers the type of product that has the very best chance to succeed.”
