MarVista Aligns with Ariel Tobi’s SNAP TV

LOS ANGELES: A strategic alliance has been formed between MarVista Entertainment and SNAP TV, the Argentine production and distribution firm headed by Ariel Tobi.

The partnership aims to establish SNAP as a leading format production and distribution outfit; deliver scripted and non-scripted content for Latin America’s pan-regional cable and satellite channels as well as the U.S. Hispanic networks; and produce scripted fare for rollout through MarVista’s international distribution network. The companies will also work together on expanding the presence of MarVista’s content across Latin America

Fernando Szew, founding partner and CEO of MarVista Entertainment, noted: “Our companies will perfectly complement each other, combining MarVista’s experience in producing movies for television with one of the most experienced players in Latin America.”

Ariel Tobi, SNAP TV’s founder and president, added: “We believe we can start producing English-speaking content with U.S. sensibilities in Latin America in cooperation with local film and TV production companies and local TV stations that are interested in developing a presence into the U.S. market and/or the English-speaking territories worldwide.”

SNAP TV was originally founded in 2004, representing a number of international format companies. Tobi then went on to joint Endemol Latin America.
