AMC Global Acquires Humans, Plans Simulcast for Into the Badlands

NEW YORK: AMC Global has acquired the exclusive first-window TV rights for Humans, and is planning a worldwide simulcast premiere for the martial arts drama Into the Badlands.

AMC Global picked up the rights for the 8×1-hour Humans from Endemol Shine International. The show will debut in most AMC Global territories in October, with a second season to premiere in 2016. 

The 6×1-hour drama series Into the Badlands from AMC Studios has been set for a simultaneous worldwide premiere by AMC Global. The program will launch on AMC Global channels in most territories in conjunction with AMC U.S. on November 15 at 10 p.m. It will then re-air in local time zones during prime time.

The highly anticipated Fear the Walking Dead has already been renewed for a second season of 15 episodes, ahead of the series launch. The first season will debut worldwide on AMC Global simultaneous to the AMC U.S. premiere on August 23 at 9 p.m., with repeats in local time zones during prime time. Season two will air on AMC Global in 2016.
