Marry Me Lands Slots Across EMEA, LatAm & AsiaPac

CULVER CITY: The freshman comedy Marry Me, which comes from the executive producers of Happy Endings, has been sold into 74 territories across six continents.

Through a new round of sales from Sony Pictures Television (SPT), the comedy is headed to 23 territories in Latin America on Canal Sony. This includes Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, as well as Brazil. It will make its LatAm debut in early 2015.

In Europe, MTG picked up the show for its free-TV channel and SVOD service in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. RTE in Ireland is set to air the show on RTE2. D-Smart acquired the rights for Turkey and Turkish-speaking Cyprus for its DiziSmart Platin channel. The Icelandic broadcaster 365 also went for the series.

Marry Me is headed to broadcasters across the Middle East and North Africa as well. OSN licensed the series for its OSN First Comedy HD network to premiere in 20 territories in early 2015.

In the Asia Pacific, a deal was done with RTL CBS Entertainment to bring the series to 15 territories, among them Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The video streaming platform iQiyi.com in China also licensed the rights.

There is a universality to this story and these characters, so we anticipate that audiences around the globe will enjoy this charming romantic comedy."
