Marathon Scores with Animated Offerings

PARIS, October
23: Marathon Media has secured international sales for its animated properties Monster
Buster Club, Famous Five On The Case
and Totally Spies.

The
52×26-minute Monster Buster Club, which makes its world premiere on October 29 on TF1
in France, is Marathon’s first full 3-D animated series. Commissioned by TF1,
Jetix Europe and Canada’s YTV, with an 18 million euros budget. The series was
pre-sold to Super RTL, and secured sales at MIPCOM with Spain’s RTVE,
Slovenia's RTV, Ireland’s RTE, LNK in Lithuania, the Arabic network MBC, Radio
Canada and Denmark’s TV2. Negotiations are still under way in the U.S., Italy,
Turkey, Singapore, South Africa and Brazil.

Famous Five
On The Case,
co-produced
with Chorion in the U.K., Disney Europe and France 3, was adapted from the
successful children’s books. It has been pre-sold to Super RTL in Germany,
Belgium’s RTBF, Disney Asia and Australia and the Netherlands’ Jetix, and new
sales are in the works in Scandinavia, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Lithuania and
Belgium.

Marathon has
also bagged a number of sales for the fifth season of Totally Spies, including to Disney Asia, DigiTurk
(Turkey), GMTV (U.K.), La Forta (Spain), TV12 Singapore, Mediaset (Italy), Oryx
(Middle East), RTE (Ireland), RTL TVI and VT4 (Belgium), TSR (Switzerland), TV
Globo (Brazil), TV2 Denmark and LNK (Lithuania). Hungarian and South African
networks are slated to come onboard in the following weeks.
