Manon Finds New Canadian Home

MONTREAL: Manon, a Canadian-French co-production from Cyber Group Studios, Planet Nemo and Sardine Productions, has been picked up by a fifth Canadian broadcaster, Treehouse.

In Canada, Radio-Canada, TFO, Knowledge Network and SCN are already airing Manon. Tiji in France, Disney in Latin America, V-me in the U.S., TV2 of Norway and Duna TV of Hungary have acquired the series as well. Based on books written and illustrated by Gérard Moncomble and Nadine Rouvière, the show follows a little girl who is full of mischief. She is surrounded by her good friends the animals Melba, Bingo, Loulou, Pedro, Baz, Alma, Baron and many more. The show is targeted at 2- to 6-year-olds.

"We are very happy to count Treehouse among the Canadian broadcasters showcasing the series this fall," said Ghislain Cyr, the president and producer at Sardine Productions. "We have certainly reached our goal of connecting with Canadian children from coast to coast."
