TORONTO: Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, the founders of Magical Elves Productions, are to deliver the Non-Fiction keynote at this year’s Banff World Media Festival.

The pair will speak about the state of the reality phenomenon on TV and the philosophy behind their success. Current and upcoming Magical Elves projects include America’s Next Great Restaurant and Fashion Star (working title) for NBC; new seasons of Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, Top Chef: Just Desserts and Work of Art: The Next Great Artist for Bravo; Braxton Family Values for WeTV; and more The L Word for Showtime.

"In the last decade, reality programming has literally exploded, with an incredible variety of shows dominating prime-time lineups around the world," said Ferne Cohen, the executive director of the festival. "Despite the tremendous number of series out there, Magical Elves has consistently set itself apart, wowing critics and audiences alike with unique, intelligent, and compelling shows that are redefining the genre. We could not be more pleased to welcome Dan and Jane as our Non-Fiction Keynotes."
