LONELYGIRL15 Creator Joins MIPCOM Mobile & Internet TV Awards

PARIS, September 19: Miles
Beckett, co-creator of the cult web-based series Lonelygirl15, has joined the MIPCOM Mobile & Internet TV
Awards grand jury, whose winners will be announced October 10.

Beckett will host a
presentation during which participants will be able to discover the latest
formats and short entertainment programs, including a presentation of his
newest creation, KateModern, a
spin-off from Lonelygirl15. In
addition to Beckett, the grand jury will be comprised of representatives from
Bravo Fact!, Hungama Mobile, Pocket Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter and Yahoo!.

The MIPCOM Mobile &
Internet TV Awards is the biggest international competition for short-form
entertainment content for both mobile and Internet, with a record participation
of 280 projects from 180 companies representing 38 countries. The 32 nominated
projects come from companies such as Fox Mobile Entertainment, BBC/Preloaded,
Buongiorno SPA, FremantleMedia and MTV Networks Animation, as well as smaller
studios from around the world.

"The projects that
were submitted this year, whether destined for mobile or the Internet,
fascinated the jury by the quality and exceptional creativity of their
content," said Ferhan Cook, co-executive producer and jury president of
the MIPCOM Mobile & Internet TV Awards. "We saw new formats like
graphic novels or interactive games based on televised documentaries."

The third edition of the
MIPCOM Mobile & Internet TV Awards is sponsored by Mini Movie Channel,
