TORONTO: The MTV Canada original production 1 Girl 5 Gays has been picked up for a U.S. broadcast by Logo.

This is the third original production from MTV Canada to be seen in the U.S., along with The After Show and Peak Season. Season one of 1 Girl 5 Gays will launch in the U.S. in October. The series brings together host Aliya-Jasmine (AJ) Sovani with a panel of five gay men to discuss sex and relationships.

"We jumped at the chance to give 1 Girl 5 Gays its U.S. premiere," said Marc Leonard, the senior VP of multiplatform programming at Logo. "Our jaws dropped (in a good way) for this bold show that addresses all the outrageous questions we ask ourselves about sex and relationships—well, not in the office of course…our HR people may read this.”

"1 Girl 5 Gays is a ground-breaking talk series that deals with sex and relationship issues in a smart, funny, unfiltered, and authentic manner," added Brad Schwartz, the senior VP and general manager of the Much MTV Group at CTV. "The series pushes boundaries way past the point of controversial and all the way back again. We’re thrilled that American audiences will get a chance to see this sharp, trailblazing series and Logo is the perfect place for people to watch it."
