NEW YORK: Logo has picked up the second season of MTV Canada’s 1 Girl 5 Gays talk show, to be added to its late-night schedule.

The new season will get under way on Logo on February 7 at midnight, with 40 fresh episodes slated. The show features a series of quick-fire, roundtable Q&A sessions with one girl and five gay men (as the show’s name implies). The topics are all about sex, love and life. The first season on Logo increased the channel’s midnight time slot ratings by 55 percent.

"1 Girl 5 Gays has been a sleeper hit for Logo," said Marc Leonard, the senior VP of multiplatform programming. "Without much initial fanfare, and after much pleading from fans of the show on AfterElton.com, it was added to our schedule and quickly became one of the most tweeted and talked about shows on the network. We know our viewers can’t wait to see what boundaries will be pushed in the second season, and we’re all just a little bit scared."
