Loews Execs in Media Venture

NEW YORK, September 15:
Jonathan M. Tisch and Jeffrey Stewart of the Loews Hotel group have formed
Walnut Hill Media, a new venture focused on investing in media companies and
developing creative content with partners.

Jonathan M. Tisch is the
chairman and CEO of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the board and a member of
the office of the president at parent company Loews Corporation. Jeffrey
Stewart, who was previously the senior VP of communications at Loews Hotel,
will serve as partner and managing director of Walnut Hill Media.

In addition to strategic
investments, Walnut Hill Media will participate in the creation, production and
distribution of film, television, online, and other visual and audio content.
The company has made an initial multimillion dollar investment in Tribeca
Enterprises, the parent company of the Tribeca Film Festival. It has also
recently invested in the first-run syndicated television show Family Court
with Judge Penny, which is being
produced with 44 Blue Productions and distributed by Program Partners. Plus,
Walnut Hill Media is producing, with Plum TV, additional episodes of its own
television series, Beyond the Boardroom with Jonathan Tisch, a series of one-on-one conversations with
America’s preeminent business leaders. Guests have included Barry Diller, Dick
Parsons and Donald Trump.
