LIVING Adds Trophy Wives to 2009 Lineup

LONDON, November 20:
Virgin Media Television-owned LIVING has acquired the Canadian hockey drama Trophy Wives, known in some territories
as MVP: Most Valuable Player, from
Verve Entertainment International to air in prime time in 2009.

Trophy Wives follows a professional hockey team and their lives on and off the ice,
including their wives, partners, friendships, rivalries and wild times. The
10×1-hour series is produced by Screen Door Productions, with Mary Young Leckie
and Heather Haldane serving as executive producers. Trophy Wives was inspired by the British series Footballers' Wives, and previously aired
in the U.S. on SOAPnet, while the pilot ran on ABC in July.

Virgin
Media Television's head of acquisitions, Amy Barham, said: "Trophy
Wives
Picks up where Footballers'
Wives
left off, revealing the sexy goings on behind a major sports team.
Our viewers love a guilty pleasure and this sexy new drama is certainly
that!"

Verve
Entertainment International's Victoria Baldock commented: "We are so excited LIVING viewers will be treated to Trophy Wives—a delicious foray
into the lives of pro-sports heroes—which is all really a glorious excuse
for us to live a little in the scandalous lives of these gorgeous men and the
glamorous women around them. The juicy story lines and eye candy are a true
delight…even for those who don't know a hockey puck from a basketball!"
