Lionsgate Secures Programming Deals in South Africa and Israel

SANTA MONICA, January 31:
Lionsgate has completed two volume programming deals with M-Net in South Africa
and Yes-DBS Satellite Services in Israel.

The deals include
Lionsgate’s new one-hour and half-hour series, mini-series, movies of the week
and library films. Titles include the Golden Globe-winning drama Mad Men and the 8-hour drama series The Kill Point.

“Our relationships with
these two companies have become stronger and stronger over the years, so it was
a natural progression for us to look at long term value with a long term
strategy,” said Craig Cegielski, Lionsgate’s executive VP of programming and
sales for international television. “Both of these deals recognize our
continued growth in providing high-end content and the ability for key
broadcasters to solidify their programming schedules with our product.”

“We look forward to
continually providing innovative and original programming to both M-Net and
Yes-DBS Satellite Services,” added Amanda Cordner, Lionsgate’s VP of sales and
administration. “Both companies are important and strategic pay-television
partners and provide excellent platforms for the high quality programming that
Lionsgate produces.”
