Lightworks Takes on Pope John Paul II Special

NEW YORK, January 16: Lightworks
Program Distribution (LPD) has added Have No Fear: The Life of Pope John
Paul II, produced for ABC in the U.S.,
to its slate of offerings available to buyers at NATPE this week.

The film, from Five Mile
River Films, stars Thomas Kretschmann (The Pianist, King Kong) as Pope John Paul II with Bruno Ganz as Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski
and Joaquim de Almeida as Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero. It is based on a
story by Michael Hirst, Lorenzo Minoli and Judd Parkin.
