Lightworks, Sandra Carter Global to Merge Catalogues

NEW YORK, January 25: Sandra Carter Global (SCG) and Sandra
Carter International (SCI) will merge with Lightworks Program Distribution
(LPD), with SCG’s founder and principal, Sandra Carter, to join Lightworks as
executive VP of business development.

John Cuddihy, LPD’s president and managing director, will
head up the combined operations. In her new role at LPD, Carter will work with
Cuddihy to continue to bring a variety of new programming into the marketplace.

Throughout the course of its 25 years in production and
distribution, Sandra Carter Global has amassed a roster of multi award-winning
series and specials, including the Emmy-nominated 24 Days of Christmas and films such as Women of the World and Mandela: Man of Vision. Recently, SCG made its foray into digital platforms
like mobile, Internet and iPod distribution with such brands as The
Hollywood Reporter
and Shop the
World for Beauty Secrets
. Lightworks will
acquire SCG’s entire catalogue of programming as well as the company’s ongoing
productions.
