Lifetime Scores with Natalee Holloway Film

LOS ANGELES: The original film Natalee Holloway, spotlighting a missing American teen who vanished while on vacation in Aruba, came out strong on Lifetime Movie Network, delivering the highest ratings ever in the channel’s 11-year history with 3.2 million total viewers.

With its April 19 premiere, Natalee Holloway ranked as the highest rated movie in all of basic cable in the last year among the female 18-to-49 demographic with 1.04 million viewers. It also broke records for the network among total viewers (averaging 3.2 million), households (2.4 million), women 25 to 54 (1.09 million) and women 18-plus.

The movie stars Tracy Pollan (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as the missing teen’s mother, Beth Holloway. It is based on her book, Loving Natalee: A Mother’s Testament of Hope and Faith, about a mother’s search for truth and justice. The film was accompanied by a public service announcement featuring Beth Holloway, which emphasizes the importance of being safe while traveling abroad.
