LazyTown Closes Pre-MIPTV Deals

REYKJAVIK, March 31:
Following the opening of its new London-based European sales office earlier
this year, LazyTown has clocked up a host of licensing deals across the region.

In Austria, Germany and
Switzerland, LazyTown has secured licenses with SIGG Switzerland, Trade Mark
Collections and Euromic. The company has also firmed up a multi-territory deal
with Original Buff headwear.

In the U.K. and Ireland,
licenses are now in place with William Lamb Footwear for all children’s
footwear and with Zap Ltd for soft furnishings.

In Spain, a DVD and
publishing deal was clinched with Radiotelevision Espanola, while a magazine
and stickers license was granted to Panini Espana.

Katie Foster, the director of brand
and licensing for Europe, commented, “We
are very pleased with the way the strategy for LazyTown in Europe has panned
out over the last few months since the launch of the division. The range of
businesses which have embraced the LazyTown movement is considerable, and we
will continue to seek out the best partners and license opportunities for the
brand across Europe.”
