LATV Strikes Affiliation Deal With Tribune Broadcasting

LOS ANGELES, April 29: The
Hispanic-targeted bilingual music and entertainment channel LATV has added
three stations from Tribune Broadcasting in New York, Chicago and Dallas as
digital multicast affiliates, bringing its total reach to 32 million households
in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

The new Tribune
Broadcasting affiliates are New York (WPIX), Chicago (WGN) and Dallas (KDAF).
New York is the number one designated market area (DMA), and the number two
Hispanic market. Chicago is the number three DMA and the number five Hispanic
market. Dallas is the number six DMA as well as the number six Hispanic market.
All three stations are CW affiliates.

The addition of the number
one, number three and number six DMAs places LATV in front of 9 million
additional television households. The new distribution deal also places the
network in nine of the top ten Hispanic television markets and six of the top
DMAs.

"In less than one
year, LATV's affiliate roster has jumped from five stations to 33 across the
nation,” said Howard Bolter, LATV’s president and COO. “Now, the Tribune deal
offers us distribution in three of the most sought-after television markets in
the country. Tribune had many emerging network options available to put on
their digital multicast spectrum and chose LATV, validating our rapid and
successful rise in the TV landscape. They are a first-class media company and
we look forward to working with them as partners."

"LATV offers top
bilingual/bicultural entertainment programming, and our affiliation with LATV
affirms our commitment to providing the highest quality content for our
audience," said Tribune Broadcasting's VP of strategy and administration,
Gina Mazzaferri.

In addition to the Tribune
Broadcasting stations, LATV recently announced the affiliation of San Francisco-Oakland-San
Jose (KTVU-TV, FOX), a Cox-owned station, and Jacksonville, FL (WJXT,
independent), LATV's fifth Post-Newsweek affiliate.
