La Presse Télé Lands Italian Deals

MONTREAL: La Presse Télé has sold The Parents and A Star’s Life in Lyrics in Italy.

La Presse Télé launched A Star’s Life in Lyrics at MIPTV. Banijay Entertainment bought the format for France. France 2 has signed up for eight episodes and two "best of" specials with the possibility to produce an extra eight. Endemol Italy took on the rights for a local version as well.

The Parents went to France’s Canal+ family, to air 44 episodes. The show now heads to Italy on Sky Italia. The agreement negotiated by Double V, exclusive ready-to-air distributor, includes the 64 episodes of the three seasons and should debut in 2011.
