L.A. Screenings: New from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution

The comedy Rel, based on the life of Lil Rel Howery, is one of the shows that buyers can preview from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution at next week’s L.A. Screenings.

The multi-camera comedy is about a loving husband and father living on the West Side of Chicago, who finds out his wife is having an affair with his own barber. Lil Rel, a comedian and actor who is known to audiences from the hit movie Get Out, stars in the series.

Another comedy buyers can screen is Single Parents, which follows a group of single parents as they lean on each other to help raise their 7-year-old kids and maintain some kind of personal lives outside of parenthood. Taran Killam, Leighton Meester, Kimrie Lewis and Jake Choi are among the cast.

Meanwhile, The Cool Kids is a multi-camera comedy about a rag-tag group of friends living in a retirement community who are willing to break every rule in order to have fun.

Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution also has on offer Last Man Standing. The multi-cam comedy that was axed by ABC a year ago has been resurrected by FOX.

In the way of dramas, The Passage is based on author Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy of the same name, focusing on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race.

Proven Innocent follows an underdog criminal defense firm led by a woman who, at age 18, was wrongfully convicted, along with her brother, in a sensational murder case. She runs the firm with the lawyer who helped set her free after seven years in prison.
