L.A. Screenings: New from Sony Pictures Television

LOS ANGELES: The new comedy Dr. Ken and the Las Vegas-set thriller The Player are among the shows that Sony Pictures Television (SPT) will be screening for international buyers.

Dr. Ken, set for Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on ABC, stars Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Community) as a brilliant physician with no bedside manner. The Player, which is part of NBC's Thursday night lineup, is about a former military operative turned security expert who is drawn into a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on his ability to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out.
