L.A. Screenings Buyer Feedback: TV4

STOCKHOLM, June 4: Clara
Scherman, the head of acquisitions at Sweden’s TV4 Group, shares insight into
what piqued her interest at the L.A. Screenings.

The TV4 Group, with nine
channels, takes much of its acquired content from British and American
distributors, Scherman notes. “We need a lot of different content, ranging from
prime-time drama for our main channel to documentaries, science-fiction series,
comedies and more for our basic cable channels.”

Scherman was on the
lookout for new prime-time drama at the L.A. Screenings, and was particularly
impressed with two series from Twentieth Century Fox: Sons of Anarchy for FX and The Ex List for CBS. “I have also seen a few good sitcoms, for
example Worst Week (CBS
Paramount) and Do Not Disturb
(Fox),” she says. Scherman adds that she is looking forward to screening the
pilot for the new 90210 when it
is ready.
