Koala Brothers Launches Campaign for Proactive Preschoolers

LONDON, August 10: Spellbound Entertainment has announced
that its popular series The Koala Brothers
is launching a branded campaign to find “Britain’s Most Helpful Preschoolers.”

In association with the Pre-School Learning Alliance and
leading book retailer Waterstones, Britain’s Most Helpful Preschoolers will
recognize the efforts young children make to society. Kicking off at the end of
September, parents, educators, and kids themselves will be able to nominate
youths for the differences they make at home, at school or in the community.

“Every day in every part of Britain, there are young
children helping others and inspiring those around them,” said Spellbound’s
joint managing director, Peter Curtis. “It is important their stories are heard
and celebrated so they can inspire us all.”

Winners will be chosen from each of 12 regions across the
U.K. and they will receive an invitation to a pre-Christmas tea party to meet The
Koala Brothers
, tickets to CBeebies
Live!,
a year’s subscription to CBeebies Weekly, books provided by Waterstones, and a box full of Koala
Brothers
toys, games, books and DVDs.
Judges for the event include parents, celebrities and campaigners on behalf of
children.

To help promote the campaign, Spellbound Entertainment has
enlisted the aid of regional newspapers and kids’ magazines, which will publish
cover stories about children who have helped others, as well as the guidelines
for the competition. The show’s website will also provide information for
parents and guardians to get their children involved in making a positive
difference.

The series, a CBBC commission, has clocked up deals with,
among others, Disney Channel in the U.S. and Japan, Discovery Kids Latin
America, Super RTL, France 5 and ABC in Australia.
