Kim Cattrall Lends Voice to Animated Sitcom

TORONTO, June 6: Kim
Cattrall, of Sex and the City fame,
has signed on to voice the role of Dee in the animated sitcom Producing
Parker
, premiering in spring 2009
on E! in Canada.

Producing Parker follows Parker Kovak, an overworked and underpaid
television producer working on The Dee Show, with Cattrall voicing the part of Parker’s
high-maintenance boss who is the host of the fictional daytime talk show. The
series will also feature the voices of Kristen Booth (MVP) as Kovak; Aaron Abrams (Slings and Arrows, Amelia, Flash of Genius) as
Simon Nolan, The Dee Show’s
resident copywriter; and Peter Keleghan (Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Murdoch Mysteries) as Blake Bellamy, the station owner.

A Breakthrough
Animation/Philippine Animation Studio co-production in association with Canwest
Media, the series is distributed by Breakthrough Entertainment.

“We’re very excited to
have Kim Cattrall starring in this much-anticipated animated sitcom,” said Kevin Gillis, the managing partner and executive producer of
Breakthrough Animation. “Kim has developed an enormous following among female
viewers and it is appropriate that she should play such an important role in
the first prime-time animated series designed for women.”
