KidsCo Taps Viasat for Central & Eastern European Expansion

STOCKHOLM, October 15: KidsCo, the joint venture channel
owned by Sparrowhawk Media, DIC Entertainment and Nelvana Enterprises, has
appointed Viasat as its representative across Central and Eastern Europe,
Russia, the Baltics and Ukraine.

Effective immediately, Viasat, owned by the Modern Times
Group (MTG) will sell KidsCo as part of its existing portfolio of channels,
which includes Viasat History, Viasat Explorer, TV1000 East, TV1000 Russian
Kino, TV1000 Poland, TV1000 Balkan, Viasat Sport East and Viasat Russian Sport.

KidsCo launched in Romania, Russia, Turkey and Poland on
September 7. Deals have also been signed in Hungary and Ukraine, where KidsCo
will launch next month, and in Asia Pacific, for rollout in early 2008.

Paul Robinson, the managing director of KidsCo, noted:
" The combination of Viasat's expertise in these territories and the
innovative business model of KidsCo will, undoubtedly, take the channel from
strength to strength."

Yggers Mortensen, the CEO of MTG Eastern Europe, added:
"KidsCo fits perfectly in our offer to third-party cable operators in the
countries we are present. Our own portfolio of channels has attracted more than
23 million subscriptions in 22 Central and Eastern European countries."

It is anticipated that KidsCo will be available in up to 40
territories within the next 18 months.
