KidsCo Bulks Up Asia Pacific/Sub-Saharan Africa Feed

LONDON,
October 28: KidsCo has struck a deal with Korea’s Iconix Entertainment to air Nalong Fly to the Sky and Spheres on its feed across Asia Pacific/Sub-Saharan Africa.

KidsCo, owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Group and
Corus Entertainment, is home to a range of animated and live-action series and
feature-length movies. Programming includes Inspector
Gadget
, Sabrina, Wallace & Gromit, S Club 7, Strawberry Shortcake, New
Adventures of Madeline
, Babar, Dennis the Menace, Franklin and Rolie Polie
Olie.

Paul Robinson, the managing director
of KidsCo, said: “We are delighted to add even more
top-quality shows to the strong lineup of safe, trusted and gently educational
programming which KidsCo has become renowned for. Iconix has a strong track record in producing and providing
hit shows and we look forward to partnering with them in Asia and Sub-Saharan
Africa, where we are sure the Nalong and Spheres
series’ of programming will be embraced by KidsCo
viewers.”

Mikyeong Jung, the executive director of program
development for Iconix Entertainment, added: “We are
extremely excited that kids and families in Asia and the Sub-Saharan regions
will be able to enjoy our shows, Nalong and Spheres.

In
a further announcement, KidsCo has now launched in
Papua New Guinea, following an agreement with local broadcast platform Channel
8.
