Kenigsztein Named MD at UPC Hungary

BUDAPEST/AMSTERDAM: Effective immediately, Betzalel Kenigsztein takes on the role of managing director of UPC Hungary, the Hungarian cable broadband operation of UPC Broadband, the European cable division of Liberty Global.

Kenigsztein previously held a range of senior management positions at Israel’s Tevel and Tevel Telecom. Since 2004, he has served as the chief technology officer of UPC Netherlands.

Gene Musselman, the president and COO of UPC Broadband and currently managing UPC Hungary, commented: “Betzalel is a seasoned executive within the UPC group with a great operational track record. He has been instrumental in the innovation of the UPC Netherlands network as one of the most high-end cable systems in the world and the recent launch of the UPC Fiber Power breakthrough technology that enables internet speeds up to 120 Mbps. I am confident that he is the right person to give a new boost to the UPC Hungary operation.”
