Kath & Kim Bags Full-Season Order

UNIVERSAL CITY, November
4: NBC has ordered an additional nine episodes of its freshman comedy Kath & Kim, which stars Saturday Night Live's Molly Shannon and
Selma Blair of Hellboy 2 as a
dysfunctional mother-daughter duo in an American adaptation of an Australian
hit series.

In its four broadcasts to
date, Kath & Kim has retained 100
percent of its adult 18 to 49 lead-in from My
Name is Earl, averaging a 2.6 rating and 6 million viewers overall. The
series centers on a foxy 40-something and her self-absorbed daughter who have a
love/hate relationship. Kath
& Kim is produced by Universal
Media Studios and Reveille.

"Kath & Kim is a show we love and
believe in," said Teri Weinberg, the executive VP of NBC Entertainment.
"We have incredible confidence in the creative auspices of this show and
we believe it's a perfect fit with our Thursday night comedies."
