Jana Bennett to Deliver Headline Address at BANFF

TORONTO: Jana Bennett, the newly appointed president of worldwide networks and Global iPlayer at BBC Worldwide, is slated to take part in the nextMEDIA stream at the 2011 Banff World Media Festival.

"Having shown herself again and again to be a world leader in production and development in both traditional broadcast and online spaces, we are delighted to have Ms. Bennett share her insights and experience as she moves on to the next stage of an already distinguished career."

Bennett recently took on the role at BBC Worldwide to help roll out the Global iPlayer, which is due to pilot in the first half of the year. She is also responsible for BBC Worldwide’s BBC-branded channels. Prior to this she was director of BBC Vision.
