Jamie Oliver, Nick Jr Team Up for British Preschool Series

LONDON, February 7: Jamie
Oliver’s production company, Fresh One Productions, is joining forces with Nick
Jr in the U.K. for a preschool series about cookery with a touch of magic.

Titled Made with Magic,
the series will combine live
action with CGI, and will be filmed in the U.K. The show is based on an
original concept brought to the production company by photographer Greg
Bartley, and Jamie Oliver will serve as an executive producer. This is Fresh
One’s first live-action children’s TV production, and the pilot will be
produced this year.

Zoe Collins, the head of
Fresh One Productions, said: “This is a huge opportunity for Fresh One
Productions and we are dead excited about potentially producing a world class
kids’ TV set in a fantasy woodland world with food as its central theme.
Nickelodeon is a great partner for us; they are innovative, share our passions
and they really know what they're talking about when it comes to contemporary
young people's telly.”

“We are thrilled to be
working with Fresh One on this project,” said Debbie MacDonald, Nickelodeon
UK’s VP and programming director. “At Nickelodeon we share Jamie’s passionate
belief in the power of inspiring kids to take an active interest in food and
where it comes from.”
